Recently restored inside and out, 81 On Seventh offers commercial office space that’s both historic and high-tech. When the property owners were looking to renovate the space, they turned to Yale Mechanical for the complete design/build of the HVAC system. With the majority of ductwork exposed, this project presented the unique challenge of incorporating HVAC components into the distinctive aesthetics of the space; meaning it had to be functional as well as pleasing to the eye. We installed a District Energy system that provides hot water for heating and chilled water for cooling. Each floor also includes one VFD powered premium efficiency 12,000 CFM air handling unit with VAV boxes and controls.
