A History of Service
Yale Mechanical was founded with a vision to provide mechanical contracting services with unsurpassed quality. We’ve remained committed to that vision over the past 80+ years and are proud to be a leading mechanical contractor in the Twin Cities and across the Midwest.
We started in 1939 from humble beginnings, but have enjoyed steady growth by focusing on our clients. We’ve had many firsts throughout our history:
Installed one of the first large central air conditioning systems in the Leamington Hotel in downtown Minneapolis
Designed the first “Hot-Gas-By-Pass” system and “Ambient Lock-Out” control used in refrigeration systems
Designed and installed Minnesota’s first central water source heat pump system
We’ve also served a variety of buildings and environments over the years. Our unique expertise is a result of working on military bases, mines and data centers to grocery stores, office towers and manufacturing plants. We’ve also added a Millwright division, Plumbing services and an in-house piping fabrication shop to better serve our clients.
As we look back on our history, we are proud of our accomplishments. As we look forward, we are excited for many more years of making buildings work better!
